Greetings,

I'm a male; been out of the game for over 30 years. Now am considering the manufacturing of table tennis tables. But also wish to get active again, as a player. Thus the question, as to age. I'm now 66 years (young):

If I avoid sports competition and limit activity to only recreational, is it a safe bet that one's age should not be a hindrance?

I realize, that when the game is played correctly, lunging and quick repositioning is required. And I do have a slight foot injury, which might be aggravated by reckless or strenuous movements.

Hoping for advice,

thomas -- living in indiana, uSA

Hi Thomas,

That is one of the beauties of Table Tennis.  You can really play it at any age.  My mother has just returned form the National Veterans Championships and she is 77 and believe me she was by no means the oldest person there.

You can play the game at whatever level you want to push your body to. You will know how your body feels and how far to push it.

Just don't get too eager too quickly.

Good luck with it all.
