How to prevent the TT bat from getting damaged

Hellow sir,
Your DVD's have been really helpful to me,thanks for that. My problem is that many of my friends give me services which never give me a chance to hit a topspin like slice and drop services when I attempt these kinds of shots my bat hits the table and gets damaged.How should I prevent it?

Hi Rutvik,
Get some edge tape for your bat. If you can't get that, just use any type of tape that will protect the edge of the rubber and bat.
