Hi,

I am an 11 year old ping pong lover and I am looking to purchase a new paddle.  I am hoping you can give me some advice.  What paddle would you recommend for someone who is at your intermediate level (based on watching your videos)?  I prefer to use a lighter paddle which is why I am curious if the Rook or the Touch with Mark V rubbers would be more suitable.  Please let me know the weight of the PingSkills Touch with the Mark V. Rubbers.  Thank you so much!

Hi Max,

Good to hear from you.

Depending on how long you have been playing and your current level one of those bats would be suitable.  If you are learning the basic strokes and have been playing for less than a year then the Rook is probably best.  If you are looking for something a little faster and still working on technique then the Mark V bat would be good.  The Mark V bat is about 168g with Mark V rubber.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
