Strokes
I've seen that forehand dominant players love to play forehands from the backhand corner, but why don't backhand dominant players do a pivot backhand(playing backhand in the forehand corner)
Hi Jasper,
Many years ago this would have been the case. Now however, this is done more and more, especially on the return of serve.
This also does happen sometimes in the rally however, in general because the swing on the forehand is bigger players can tend to generate more power off that side and that is why when given the option a lot of players will choose the forehand over thebacfhand still.
The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:
If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.
