Hi PingSkills Is it better to pivot when receiving serve or is it better to just use backhand? can you please tell me the reason why? thank you very much

Hi FRendy,

This depends on whether your backhand is strong enough or not.  If your backhand is strong enough then stay where you are and play a backhand.  If not then you may be forced to pivot to play the forehand.

My forehand is stronger than my backhand and I found it easier to attack with my forehand

But when I tries to pivot and topspining the serve with my forehand, the opponent just need to block it wide on my forehand side and I don't have enough time to recover the ball

If I use backhand, the opponent can easily make a third ball attack

What should I do now?

Try to work on your backhand topspin then you won’t need to step around and it will make it more difficult for them to attack.
