i have been watching very very in detail some player that change the movement of their chop or push, for example when they have the ball in his back they start the movement from their right to their left (instead from a natural movement from their left to their right) and the same in the forehand, so my question is why they do that? and more important how do i should topspin or chop or push that move, that is my question and if you dont understand what im saying the best example that comes to my mind is the movement you do when execute a lob, when you execute a lob with your backhand you do from your right to your left, well they do the same but not just when execute a lob they do the same when they push an chop, thanks a lot.

Hi Luis,

The movement you describe is not a correct way of playing the stroke.  The movement should be a natural movement.  So for the backhand you should swing from left to right for the topspin and the push strokes.  If you see players doing it the other way you shouldn't copy them.

To attack these shots you should employ the same attacking topspin that you do for the other type of spin.

Also when yo play a lob you should also have the natural movement of your stroke.  So for the backhand lob you should play it like it is a big topspin stroke.  So the movement of the stroke should be from left to right.

I hope you understand this and it helps you.
