hello,

I joined a tournament and i'm going to play with a player that has good topspin for the back and the fore and good push for the back and the fore too what tactic should i use to defeat him? and in the back hand flick what angle should the bat be if it had side spin?

H Abdelhrahman,

It is great you are playing a tournament.  Well done. Playing tournaments is a good step forward with development.

It sounds like the opponent you are talking about is quite good at most strokes.  You need to see where he is better and worse.  He will have a preferred side for both the topspin and the push.  Try to play more balls to his weaker side.

For the backhand flick, allow for the sidespin by angling your bat away from the direction the ball wants to go.  So if the spin is going to take the ball to the right, then angle your bat to the left and vice versa.

Good luck with the tournament.  Let us know how you go.

i think for my opinion and i am not saying you are wrong i saw you should play topspin back to his backhand and keep pressuring him there then go aggressive to his forehand when he is out of position and for serve play like sometimes short backspin to anywhere but short then do a heavy loop where he is out of position

this is for future tournaments

please if you can replay

I think it always depends on their strengths.  If they have a weaker forehand block then it is good to topspin there.
