Hi there,

1 how to do short topspin serve?

2 How to play short pimples.  I make topspin against short pips push and It gets off the table.My friend said a lot of spin is the key for short pips.Is it correct

Hi Lefteris,

To make a short topspin serve you need to get the ball to bounce close to you on your side of the table.  Also need to make sure the ball is bouncing really low over the net.  If you get enough topspin the ball will bounce forward and dip quickly after the second bounce to keep it low and get a second bounce on their side of the table.

When playing short pimples the ball won't have as much spin on it if they push to you.  When you topspin to the short pips it will come back very flat and almost feel like it has backspin on it so you will need to lift that next ball.

Your friend is right, if you can put a lot of spin on the ball it is harder for the short pimples player.  YOu can push with heavy backspin or topspin with a lot of spin as well.
