Playing with anti spin

Strategy

Hi Coach,

I use mark V Xs for my forehand & antipower for my back hand.

Previously i used sonex jp gold for my backhand which I use vicious shots with my back hand.  I can smash easily with forehand & backhand.

Now since i have changed my backhand rubber to Anti power, its restricting my kill shots on backhand. Please advice how I can improve using the anti power effectively to its highest potential.

I am able to return anything with this rubber (loop, chop, block, cut) & i got good control on this after long practices (4 months).

Now i need to change to the offensive mode with this rubber. Please advise. I followed the third ball attack, but with lack of backhand shots, I am giving away freebies to the opponent.

I usually twiddle to hit with my backhand, but when the opponent makes the game faster i am not able to do the hit.

Thanks

Hi Praveen,

That is trade off for using Anti spin.  It is difficult to attack with because you can’t generate topspin and therefore a faster attack is more dangerous.

Twiddling is a good option.  So you can attack with the inverted rubber when you get the chance and defend with it when you don’t have time.  Unfortunately you can’t have the best of both worlds.
