Training
Hi Alois and Jeff,
I want to practice my service (pendulum, reverse pendulum, etc.) but I don't have my own table. I can only use the table of my neighbor if they are in the home. I don't have my own table now, but is there a way to practice my serve without a table? I am trying to practice it without a table but after several minutes of picking up the ball from the floor, it causes pain to my back. Do you have any suggestions coach? Thanks ![]()
Hi Fetish,
Hitting it onto the floor is good. You can also hit it onto a bed so that you don’t have to pick the ball up. You can even use any other table you have at home to hit onto. Place it up against a wall so that it hits the wall and comes back to you. This will save the back pain.
The backhand topspin off backspin is often considered a harder shot than the forehand. In this week's training session we focus on utilising this shot to make a 3rd ball attack. If you can master this your opponents will find it difficult to stop you attacking and you will constantly have them under pressure.
