Strokes
I'm having trouble with my counter-strokes. I started playing on my own and never had any proper training and now when i have joined a training center, the first thing you've got to learn is the counter-hits. I know how it goes and how it is done but i seem to be having difficulty in controlling my own motions. Like my stroke seems to have a bit of sidespin on it and hence when the person at the other end of the table returns my ball it tends to go to the middle and I have trouble returning that myself since it comes right into my body. Please tell me how i can correct this fault.
Hi Sandesh,
Try to focus on the angle of your racket when you are hitting the ball. If your wrist is turned on or out it will generate sidespin.
Experiment a bit with these angles till you get the ball going straight.
