I noticed that when I try to get low, I always get up after the serve/receive. What kind of training methods can I use so that I can consistently be low? I think this problem has affected my shot quality negatively
Hi Jasper,
This is a common issue. I think in training set yourself some time to focus on just this. You can use some aides such as putting an object above your head to give you an indication of where your level is. You can also use your imagination with this to feel like you are in a low room and trying to stop yourself from hitting the ceiling.
Also think about strengthening your legs as this will make it more comfortable to stay in that position.
It can take a while to get the feel of this but worth persevering with.
This lesson teaches you an easy method for improving your serving and your short game. By using a few props you can easily setup a piece of string as a guide which helps you focus on keeping the ball low.
