Training
Hi, Alois and Jeff. Every time when I watch video in youtube about world champion table tennis, I saw that they are very easy to play with that standard, but in reality, it is very hard. When playing with a beginner, it is not easily. Maybe I always think every player know the topspin strokes or other. So, what is the difference between professional player and normal player.
Thanks
Hi Elvin,
I think one of the most important differences is how many balls they have hit and how hard they have trained. There is no short cut to improvement and becoming that good. It is developing good technique and then training a lot.
Although attacking is the most popular style at the top level in Table Tennis, it is important to be able to defend well. If you choose to play a defensive style then you should be practicing these strokes all the time. If you play an attacking stroke then you should still try and find some time for these strokes. If you can win one extra point by defending well when pressured, it could make the difference between winning and losing.
