Hello,

I started playing table tennis with GKI racket played for 2-3 years and switched to MARK V pre-assembled, its been a year that i have been using it and i want to improve my skills but i dont think i am improving, so can you suggest me that should I  change racket or sholud I practice more with it?

If it is yes, can you suggest me blade and rubber my style is offensive (like to do lot of Topspins). I was thinking of Tenergy 64 or Tenergy 80 rubber.

Hi Jaydeep,

If you are finding that you are missing a lot of shots then I would stay with the Mark V rubber and keep practising.  If you find you are very consistent with the Mark V bat and need more speed on the shots then think about upgrading.  I wouldn't go straight to a Tenergy rubber though.  That would be a big step up.  Go for something like a Rakza 7 rubber.  There are plenty of options out there that are faster than Mark V.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

The Tenergy is very fast.  The blades will also be fast so it will be a  big step up.  I would go for a slower blade.
