Hi Alois I have some difficulties in reading my opponent's game and my game.

It's hard for me to find out what's wrong and to read my opponent's weakness as he have already taken advantage of my weakness to win the game. Are there anything you would suggest like what should I observe more? Thanks.

Hi Elgin,

Take a look through the Vault.  This will give you a basic outline of things to look for in your opponents game.  Go through the template for each of your opponents.

As you do this more often, you will start to be able to do it quicker and even during matches or at tournaments when you are watching other players.

Tactics Against A Defensive Chopper

A chopper likes to get back from the table and get into a nice rhythm. If you keep the defender close to the table in the early part of the rally, it's hard for them to transition back into their chopping position. So keep the ball short on your serve and try and catch them unprepared. Watch the video to find out more great tactics to use against a defensive chopper.
