Receiving
Hi coach,
Few days back I played a guy who served fast and bounced high on my backhand, there was no backspin, but a little sidespin, when I tried to block, the ball just popped up providing a easy smash. The ball comes fast and bounces high that it becomes difficult to even loop or backhand topspin it back. When I try to block or chop, ball pops up or flies off the table.
How to receive this type of serve?
Hi Naveed,
try to keep top spinning this ball. You could take a small step back so that you get more time to play the shot.
Keep the stroke simple.
