Receiving opposite handed service

Hi Alois and Jeff,

I know where to receive serve if my opponent, like me, is right handed and standing by his backhand corner.  Where do you stand to receive a righty serve coming in from the center or unlikely forehand side of the table?  Where do you stand to receive a servecoming from a lefty in his or her traditional backhand corner and all of the other variations?

 Thank you,

Andrew T

Hi Andrew,

Firstly look at the possible angles that they can hit from where they will contact the abll.  Stand with your bat in the middle of that area.

Take a look at our lesson on Basic Ready Position.  This will help you with this exact question.

It will also be on our website shortly.
