Hello, champions. First tell you i´m a very bad player, but it isn´t a problem to me, i want to be better!

My hard problem its imposible to me return shorts serves with very much top spin with a few lateral spin.

I have same problem with forehand and backhand, i have tried cut (return very high and outside table),

Short Hit (Ball to the net), Closing racquet...., .

i need to first put the ball on the table and second give some direction.

Thanks for being patient.

Hi Juan,

Iam glad you are looking to improve.  I guess you have come to the right place.

To return the short topspin/sidespin serve you can use the flick rather than a topspin.

Take a look at our lesson on the Forehand Flick and the Backhand Flick.  These will help you to deal with that type of serve.  Perhaps you are closing the racquet to early on the flick ball.  Try to go more forward with your stroke.

It is difficult to push the short topspin serve because as you have found it goes too high.
