How can I recieve a fast long serve which has a hard side spin out of the table?
Hi Fady,
You can do this in two ways. You can try to be defensive and steer the ball back on the table. You will need to angle your bat to allow the ball to go back on the table. If the ball is going off to the right, then face your bat to the left.
You can also try to attack it with a topspin stroke. Brush the ball fast to conter the spin that is already on the ball.
If you can, get yourself a copy of Receiving Secrets Revealed DVD. This will show you in detail the basics of how to return spin.
