Hey jeff,

One thing that I find hard about serving isn't the contact, the speed of the contact or whether I'm using my wrist. Its getting into the basic ready position after taking the serve.

Could you give me some advice on how I can improve my recovery after a serve?

Hi Piers,

This is something that the best players do very well.

Think about your starting position for your serve.  Make sure your knees are bent and you are in a reday to move position not standing with your legs straight.   For the Pendulum serve for example, you could start in almost an upright running position.  This will allow you to move quickly into position for the next ball.
