Regarding rubbers on both sides

Hi

I was wondering are you allowed to have different thickness rubbers on different sides of the blades. For example i was thinking about having a 2.0 on my forehand (DHS hurricane 3) and a 1.5/1.2 (Friendship 729 FX Super Soft) on my BH for the RPB. Is this legal in TT rules? And if so Is it a good Idea to do so?

Also do you have any videos on how to improve RPB?

Thanks

Hi Lelouch,

There is no regulation on uniformity of rubbers on both sides so you can choose different rubbers completely if you like.

A lot of players use different rubbers are their forehand and backhand have different abilities.

We do have a simple video on improving your RPB.  Take a look at the tutorial on Penhold Techniques for Table Tennis.  I think this will help you.

Choosing a Table Tennis Table

The thickness of a table tennis table is the most important aspect of a table to ensure you get a true consistent bounce. Other things to consider are the net, portability, and storage space.
