Hi,I just want to know how do I remove a ready-made rubber off a table tennis bat
Hi Wayne,
These are not easy to remove in general in on piece.
Try starting at one edge in the bottom corner and slowly peeling it up. Do this really slowly and keep getting a little under the sponge. Slowly work around the blade until it all comes off.
That is the theory. In practice sometimes they are stuck down with really strong glue. In this case if it is not coming off cleanly, then just get as much as you can off with this method. You could try a little solvent under the sponge. Something like Acetone or Mineral Turpentine works. Heat also helps. So if you can use a hair dryer under the sponge it may give you a few more centimetres of relief.
If all else fails, rip it off and use some sand paper to smooth it off.
Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
