Dear Sir,
Please tell me how to return a short pendulum serve.
Hi Siddhartha,
The first thing you need to do is recognise what spin is on the ball. Depending on the serve you have a number of options. If the serve has backspin I would recommend playing a backhand or Forehand Push. If the ball has no spin, sidespin or topspin you could try a backhand or Forehand Flick.

sir the ball has lots of topspin and sidespin and it is a fast pendulum serve and when im ake rrom for hit the topspin i am no way near the ball becuse the ball is very fast
Hi Siddhartha,
If you are nowhere near the ball, you need to watch it more closely as you opponent hits it. The more experience you get at this the better you will be at picking up the direction of the serve early. Once you see it early enough you will be able to move into position. See if you can get a lot more practice against this type of serve.
Great to hear.
