hi coach
i follow your advice and it helps too much but still there is one serve i can't return the He Zhi Wen Serve
i want to know how can i return it please and thank you coach for your advice.
Hi Dola,
What problems are you having returning this serve? Are you having trouble reading the spin or is it just the speed of the ball which is the problem.
If the ball is coming long and fast, it's important to move quickly into a good position. Then you should be able to play a good topspin stroke which will vary depending on the spin that was on the serve.
A really important skill in table tennis is to be able to judge if a serve will be short or long. If it's short you won't be able to take a full swing at the ball and hence will need to use either a push or a flick to return the ball. However, if it is coming long then you can make a topspin attack. In this video we give you some tips to help you judge the length of the serve and hopefully this makes you a better returner.

by the way i am a right hand player
Hi Dola,
Try taking a little step away from the table before he serves. This will give you a bit more time especially on the backhand side to make a topspin. If you can get your body into position well then you will give yourself the best chance of making the return.

First my friend used to do He Zhi Wen serve.
A good thing to do is to step away from the table as the the ball drops, follow the bat and see if they are doing a fast swing.
When you contact the ball, make sure you close the angl of the bat. I usually chop the ball back but it took me weeks to chop it back sucessfully.
