How do you return a smash with a smash?

With great difficulty! :)

The shot will be pretty much the same as a normal smash but you'll have much less time as the ball will be travelling towards you very quickly. Try to pick a ball that is around shoulder to head height as this will give you a reasonable angle to try and smash the ball back. 

This is one shot I wouldn't try and think about too much. If you want to try it just hit it fast and see what happens. It's never going to be a high percentage shot. It's actually not a bad tactic though if you do get forced back. You are going to lose most points from back there so trying something like this is OK.

That stroke is national and international level. Still could do it, but dont need to train TOO hard for it.
