Rubbing the ball

Hi

Since joining Pingskills my game has improved but I am an older player who has many shots that often are good but not technically correct. I am trying to learn new methods but progress is slow. Your instructions are really helpful and win me some games that I never thought possible.

An opponent I played wiped the ball on his shirt before serving it. Is this legal or could it create static affecting the flight of the ball

HI David,

Thanks for the update and kind words.

The ball doesn't really build up much static from rubbing on a shirt.  Usually they will do that to make sure it is free of any dust.  This dust effects the flight of the ball a lot, even the smallest bit of dust.
