Alois and Jeff,

Firstly keep up the good work, since joining ping skills I've  managed to I improve my league results the past two seasons 20% up to 35% then this year up to 50%. More importantly I have learnt to relax more, so win or lose I am enjoying playing much more.

So my question is, I seem to have a bad habit of winning or losing points in runs, so I can be way ahead then allow the opponent back in by losing four or five points in a row. Or way behind by conceding several point cheaply but then staging a come back only to lose 11-9 or 12-10. This season I actually lost a match 12-10, 12-10, 12-10 but had two or more game points in each game.

I am more relaxed and calmer than I used to be so is there a way to train concentration or could I be too relaxed and just not being sharp enough?

Hi Nigel,

Thanks for the kind words about the site.  Glad to know we are helping.

I think if you are losing points in a row try to take a short break as soon as you realise you have lost 2 in a row or if you feel that your mind is wandering away from focusing on the ball or your tactics.

This is something that can happen especially at the end of games like from a few points up to losing 12-10.

Maintain that calm and focus on the ball in these situations.  Take each point one at a time.
