Why do players tend to grunt or scream a bit when they are playing a stroke? (ex. Ovtcharov)

Hi Clement,

I think it is to help with timing of the ball.  I don't particularly think it helps much.

Grunting or screaming is essentially exhaling, and exhaling during strokes helps players to exert more power. It's similar with martial artist screaming in their punches and kicks. That's what I believe.
