How do you get maximum spin on a serve

Hi Steve,

The first thing is to ensure you have some decent rubber on your bat and are not using a cheap bat from K-mart. You need good equipment to be able to spin the ball.

Once you have a decent bat from a reputable manufacturer you need to focus on two things:

1) Use a fine brushing contact

2) Have a fast contact

This is easy to write but hard to do. When you swing the bat fast it is hard to get a fine brushing contact. We recommend that you start away from the table and just try and hit the ball over and over trying to get lots of spin. By moving away from the table you take away the pressure of needing to serve the ball into a small area. Once you have got the feeling of getting lots of spin then you can move back to the table and try and get lots of spin on a serve. We cover all of this in our Serving Secrets Revealed DVD.

The same applies to every stroke not just the serve. Give it a try and let us know how you get on.
