In the video of "Placement of the Serve" what kind of serve was he using?  I am practicing a strong serve that is hard to hit and I don't know what kind I should learn.  I was also wanting to know how to serve it so that it backspins back onto your side of the table.

Hi Braden,

I was using the pendulum serve.   This is a good serve to start with because it is easy to generate some spin.

To get the ball to spin back onto your side of the table you need to generate a lot of backspin on the ball.   Hit it right at the base of the ball ad brush the ball very fast.

For lots more help on serving with spin take a look at the PingSkills Serving Secrets Revealed DVD.  If yo uget an opportunity to purchase it I am sure it will help you a lot with your serving.
