Hi...,
i play table tennis for about 2 years and i am qouite good i think. But i have a weakness on my serves because they don't have a lot of spin on them. I tried a lot of different spins but nothing worked. My blade is a tsp carbon allround with tsp triple spin rubbers.
Thanks
Hi Nicholas,
Work on spin first. Try starting without the table and see if you can make the ball spin on the floor. Then once you can do that go to a table and see if you can make a serve.
The principles of serving with spin are to brush the ball and then brush it fast.
Of course, if you get yourself a copy of Serving Secrets Revealed you will get a more comprehensive idea of how to serve with spin.
As long as your rubber surface is still good, that is it has grip on it, then it will be OK for doing spin serves.
