I would just like to ask if Stiga Compact Roller is a suitable replacement for my old, falling apart, cheap recreational table? My table at home is pretty worn out and needs to be replaced. Storage is no problem because I have a TT room at home specially made for practice and games.
Aside from Compact Table, I have a few choices that suits my budget like:
Stiga Superior Elite
Stiga Suprior Hobby
Sitga Basic Roller
But what I'm really saving for is a real approved table like DHS Rising Star. Should I still use my table at home and save for this table?
Hi Charlie,
The Stiga Compact Roller is a good table. I use them at the school I coach and they have lasted well and provide a good bounce.
Of course, the better the table in the range you can buy the better it will perform. My advice is to save up, because you will have the table for a long time.
The thickness of a table tennis table is the most important aspect of a table to ensure you get a true consistent bounce. Other things to consider are the net, portability, and storage space.
