Hi guys

Love the videos, keep it up

i am getting conflicting views on the contact point on the bat when doing a pendulum serve. Should I contact the ball on the bat edge nearest to the table or the bat edge furthest from the table. The aim is to get maximum spin on the ball. Can you please advise and do you demonstrate on s video?

Many thanks

Hi Dave,

For more spin contact the ball near the edge closest to the table.

I haven't had a good explanation of why this is the case but from experience this is the case.

Some previous theories are that it has more of the rubber to travel across however the ball doesn't really stay in the rubber that long.
