Hi,

Yes you are definitely allowed to impart spin.  In fact this is a big part of the game.

Doubles Serving Rules

In this video we go over the somewhat complicated rules of serving for doubles in table tennis. There are a couple of extra rules for doubles that you don't apply to singles. In doubles you always serve from the right hand box diagonally to your opponent's right hand box. Each player has 2 serves each. If you've just been receiving then it's your turn to serve next.

Thank u very much Alois for ur prompt reply.In fact after posting the question what asked I read ur lessons on ping regarding service.Then I realized spin an impotant weapon. Any ur lessons on ping are of immense help. Many TT aspirants will get benifit from ur lessons.Thank u very much once again-Chandraiah
