Shelf life of a rubber

Hey coach, is there a shelf life of a rubber, like an expiry date or something?

I recently bought a Joola Phoenix rubber online that was manufactured one year ago. Will it work fine?

Hi Nilabhra,

If the rubber is still in its packet it should be fine.

The main things that effect the rubber are air, dirt and heat.  As long as the sealed packet has been kept indoors out of the heat they should be good.  They will actually last many years in this condition.
