Equipment
I had a query from Ken in Missouri.
He asked me" do you know wher I can find a pair of 10 1/2 wide Table Tennis shoes?"
If anyone can help him out it would be appreciated.
Any ideas?
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Even though they're volleyball shoes, Asics Gel Rocket 6 are quite nice: Very grippy and light. However, they only come in women's sizes.
Hope this helps!

This is a very good question, I see that Alois and Jeff use what basic looks like tennis shoes. My question is what do you guys use when you are playing TT??? Tennis shoes, or skateboard shoes, and or basketball shoes/ high tops?? I am using what are called deck shoes made primarily for boating. I find that they give great grip on hard surfaces like concrete.
Any thoughts??
I find an indoor sports shoe is best. Most of the table tennis brands make table tennis shoes but as Jason mentioned the Asics range of indoor sports shoes are also very good.
