Equipment
Hi,
I am Sandeeep and i want to know about what is the difference between long pimple rubber and short pimple rubber and when is it used?
Hi Sandeep,
Short pimple rubber tends to flatten out the spin on the ball and is used for fast close to the table play.
Long pimple rubber reverses the spin on the ball and tends to be used by defensive players that either chop or block close to the table.
Take a look at our lesson on the Effects of Rubbers which will help.
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
