Hi Alois,
i am trying to play as much as possible with players using pimples (short or long), because i find very very difficult to play with them.
A player of my (new) t-t team is actually using identical short pimple rubbers on both sides, but with different sponge thickness. The red one is glued on a thick sponge whereas the black one on a thinner. What is the difference in behavior between the two sides ?
Thanks a lot, best regards !
Marco
Hi Marco,
The thicker sponge will make the pimples a little faster. The thinner sponge will be slower but there will also be more effect with the pimples because of that. The ball will come out flatter.
Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
