Equipment
Hey guys!
So I need to change my rubber in a couple of weeks, maybe even a month, and I can't decide if I should get short pimple rubber.
I have been wanting to try short pimples for a while now, but I have never really gotten the opportunity to do it. The main reason I want to get short pips is because I think that it would fit me very nicely. I used to step back from the table and do some strong backhand loops, but now I'm starting to develop a Mima Ito kind of play. Short to the table and a bunch of blocks, fast backhands, and counter-hits.
Should I try short pimples, and just switch back to inverted if I don't like it? Or should I keep playing with inverted on both FH and BH?
Hi Lukas,
It is worth experimenting with it. Then you will know for sure if it suits you.
Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
