Strategy
Hi Coach,
Half a year ago I started playing with short pimples (mainly) on my backhand. Since then I have been having problems against other players that use pips. My main problem is with long pips, that really doesn't make any sense to me and I don't know to play them.
How do I play these pips with my own short pips?
Sincerely yours,
Mitch
Hi Mitch,
The long pimples are very different to short pimples. They reverse the spin on the ball. If you play with some backspin it will come back as a topspin ball and vice versa.
We have a video on Help against a chopper with long pimples that may help you. We also have Premium video on Playing Against Long Pimples which is more specific to what you are looking for.
