Why do players tend to shout after winning a point at the game?

Hi Clement,
They do that to motivate themselves and have their emotional level high. I don't know how much it really helps them but it does add to the atmosphere of watching a match.

Might add to the atmosphere at ITTF events, but it can be very distracting and annoying at, say, a suburban club with five or six tables and two or three 'shouters'!
