How do I get the most power out of my slam and is slamming with topspin better than just hitting the ball really hard?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Nicholas,

If it is power you are after hitting the ball flat is the way to go.  You can do this if the ball is high enough.  In theory anything that bounces higher than net high fits into this category, but to be safe if the ball bounces up around shoulder high it is ok to slam flat and fast.

If you hit it with a bit of topspin it will be a little safer stroke but will not have as much speed.

Experiment with it for yourself and see which goes faster.
