Lately i have been trying to do and train attacking strokes, but my consistency isn’t very good either the smash goes out of the table or in the net and same with the forehand topspin against backspin.

These have discouraged me to attack in general and I sometimes have to resort to just lifting the ball up for my opponent to smash, i am evwn having trouble with the forehand counterhit

Note : played for 2 years Prior and then lost interest, back in for 1 year

Hi Quan,

Persevere with your attacking strokes.  Perhaps try to slow them down a little till they do become more consistent.  Make sure your technique is correct on the strokes as well.  If you do these two things your consistency will improve and then you can start to gradually increase the speed and still maintain your consistency.

Go through the lessons we have in our Strokes & Techniques section to get a good idea of how to play all of your strokes.
