Hi PingSkills

I've asked and also found a lot of information about getting a lot of spin on my serve but I still can't do it my serve only have a little spin on it and make it easier for the opponent to attack.  I’ve also tried to brush the ball finely and fast and also the contact point is on the end of the bat but i still can't generate a lot of spin on it.  What happened to me? Please help me

Thank you very much

Hi Frendy,

First make sure your rubber still has grip on it.  If it doesn’t you won’t be able to generate spin.

Then think about trying to get a video of yourself doing the serve.  It may help you to see where you are hitting the ball and the action as well.

The more you practice it the more fluent the action will become and the better contact you will get on the ball.  A good way to practice this is to move away from the table and get the ball to bounce on the floor and see if you can get it to curve.

Variation of Placement

The exact same serve placed to a different spot on the table can be much more difficult for your opponent to return.

Maybe you use anti-spin rubber?

I've tried to brush it on the floor very fast and the ball get to curve

but on the table I can't do it as if I brush the ball too fast then it will fly off

but I will keep practice, thank you ^^

Practice is the key now.
