Strokes
Hi,
I know how to smash the ball with no spin and topspin, but it is really hard to make a smash with backspin or side spin. My friends try to do that but are very inconsistent in doing so.What should I do to execute the backspin and side spin smashes. If possible, then please answer with a video.
Thanks
Hi Sourav,
It is best not to smash a chop. The backspin will drag the ball into the net or make it a very small margin for error on this shot.
The better option is to make a topspin stroke.
Only if the ball is really high, say at shoulder height or above should you make a smash off the backspin ball. In that case still allow for the backspin by opening the blade a little.
