Hi, I am helping my friend buy a long pimple and reverse pimple bat. I was just wondering what difference the sponge thickness makes

Hi Sam,

The sponge will add some control. The thicker the sponge the faster the ball will come off.

What about the hardness of the rubber ? My friend just bough a new bat just like mine (wakaba 60) but the rubber is different, my rubber is thiker and white and also the sound of the rubber when hit the ball is just like the other rubber but his rubber is not as thick as mine and also the colour is more dark and the sound is different than the other bat please for the answer :D thank you
