hi

i need some help. a new season is in full swing at the local table tennis club which i'm in but i'm having trouble with stamina. at the start of the night i'm in top form and play my best table tennis but after about 4 games i start to lose it and i think it's me getting tired. is there any way i can keep my energy levels up long enough to keep my form going? thanks!

p.s love the site-it's made me a much better player since i started.

Hi Alex,

Think about your food and drink intake before and during the games.

Try to have some more carbohydrate high foods before the matches.  This will assist inyour energy.  During the matches also drink water and keep nibbling at food such as fruit buns to keep your energy levels up.

You also need to work on stamina during the off season by doing some aerobic activity.  Jogging , cycling, swimming for 20 minutes or more is useful for this.
