Hi PingSkills

I found that it's very difficult to learn the backhand topspin. So I want to ask how to start learn the technique? Just like the forehand topspin that you told us to hit the ball flat for the first time

Please help me as my backhand is very weak

Thank you^^

Hi Frendy,

Start with a good basic counterhit and slowly add a little spin till the stroke becomes longer and the contact becomes more brushing to generate the topspin.

Take a look at our lesson on theĀ Backhand Topspin Against Block.

I wonder about the start position

In the video the start position is in front of the belly but I saw a lot of players start from their left belly (for right handed)

What do you think about it?

If you have more time you can have a bigger swing and start more from the left.
