Now, this may seem like a stupid question, but I just want to make sure. I got a Killerspin Jet 400 racket recently and after playing with it about one or two times, the sticker that goes around the rim of the bat started peeling off. I really want to peel it completely off, but I don't know it it is protecting the blade or anything. Can I peel it off?

Hi Daniel,

The sidetone can protect the edge of your bat if you knock it on the table.  However if it is starting to peel off it will get annoying and probably better to take it off completely.

You can also consider replacing it

It's about €4 for 5m and about €14 for 50m, which would be enough for a loooooong time.

They come in different widths though (from 9 to 12mm), so take one that matches your blade's thickness (I perosnnaly like it to cover also the sponge of both rubbers, but not the rubbers themselves).
