Substitute for pivot

Footwork

Hi PingSkills!

Is there a substitute for pivoting? I thought of doing the shuffle footwork twice and make it go faster by lowering my center of gravity, but I never really tried it. I don't think pivoting is a good idea since it leaves the other corner open.

Thanks!

Hi,

If your footwork is good and your forehand a lot stronger than your backhand, it is a good idea to pivot.  If you have a solid backhand then you should just stay there and use your backhand.

Forehand Pivot Footwork

The pivot is where you are moving around your backhand corner to play a forehand. This is something that will come in handy in a match situation, especially if you have a stronger forehand. We will show you the best way to move in the pivot footwork.
